Paul, Absolutely well written

Paul,
Absolutely well written and necessary work. We need to use every avenue possible to make it known that inequity exists and plays a major role in our collective inability to close achievement gaps.
This paragraph from your op-ed sums it up perfectly...
"An important conclusion from this study is the positive correlation between spending and a number of educational characteristics — test scores, teacher salaries, student-teacher ratios, and teacher undergraduate preparation. In short, this study confirms that there is in fact a direct and positive correlation between student expenditure and student achievement; private schools with higher academic success do spend more money than less expensive private schools that often perform less well than public schools."
Keep fighting
